WIW: This Week

This week has been super cold, so I havent wanted to wear much more than sweatpants and hoodies...but that's frowned upon at the office :).

1. The Green Velvet makes an appearance, the color is so gorgeous in real life, it just isn't captured so well in photos.  Wearing a b&W shell underneath. 

2.  This outfit was thrown together last minute (as I wasted time watching GMA instead of planning this outfit).  I am not a fan of the combo...I couldn't shake the feeling that I had dressed like Uhura from Star Trek.

3.  Love this dress, I have it in two colors and if Land's End still had any, I'd have it in others as well.  It's so versatile!

    Well, no wonder you love that last dress. It is stunning on you! Too bad they don't have any more. I can easily see its versatility. The other outfits are great as well. All look comfortable and cozy (so necessary at this time of year). Isn't it odd how some things photograph so poorly? But even in the picture, the green looks very good.

    The dress is really gorgeous on you and I especially love the colour.
    Speaking of which I think I have a velvet blazer the same colour as the one you have in #1, love it.This outfit reminds me of one from Kate Middleton.You dress like the best royalty :)

    #2 is a great outfit , I wouldn't have thought of Uhura but I confess that I also have a jacket that also makes me think I joined the star fleet.

    Your Uhura comment sounds like something my hubby would say. He thinks I'm fab, but likes to tease me from time to time.

    Had you not mentioned it, Uhura would never have occurred to me ;) Is the scarf in 1 and 2 the one from your Secret Santa? Love that green jacket and the dress is wonderful on you!

    Oh I like them all but the velvet jacket & dress are definitely attention getters! Perfect on you! I haven't seen Star Trek so I quite liked the combo in #2, hehe.

    Thanks ladies for making me feel like I wasn't on the Starship like it felt!  The color of the blazer in #1 is so rich and bold, I don't have anything else like it - I'm so afraid of messing it up, but so far so good.  The shade of purple in the dress is one of my favorites, I have another dress and a sweater or two in the same color (I have on the sweater today!). 

    Pil, no, the scarf isn't from my Secret Santa, and I havent even though to try one as a head wrap.  I sense an experiment coming on tonight!

    I love your outfits!   The purple dress is my fave.   And really... I love the Uhuru one.   I wouldn't have thought of it until you said it.   Believe me when I tell you there are geeky guys everywhere who would fall in love with you on sight for your Trek-esque outfit!  :)
