Our weather is so crazy lately, it's been high 70s and low 80s all week, and today the high is 40. I'm so over the cold! I needed my fleece tights, and oddly enough, the only color I have is purple, so I immediately thought of this brown sheath + gray ponte jacket. It's a combo I haven't tried before, and I like it. I pulled it together with a belt that I love and probably haven't worn in about a year (because it never goes with anything!).

I think that does work very well, due to your choice of a nice tonal look in the cool color range. Not that you couldn't have done a purple pop with red or something, but this gives a quieter look if that works better for your workplace.

I accidentally discovered that dark purple/eggplant looks great with dark brown leather about a month ago when trying on booties at the mall. I also have purple fleece leggings.
I've been meaning to wear them together in an outfit, your's looks so lovely - the tones and shapes and bits of detail work together so well, especially with the gray, I'm re-inspired!

Very nice colour combo. Purple and brown is lovely and I would not have thought of putting the grey jacket over it. Lovely.
